Assistant Provincial Grand Master David Winder couldn’t have hoped for better weather for the ‘Raven Winder’ walk in aid of the MCF 2021 Festival. This was the key 2018 fundraising event for the Festival and the fine weather encouraged over 100 walkers to don their boots
Freemasons make donation to Lancashire and South Cumbria Kidney Patients Association
The recent installation meeting of Royal Preston Chapter No 333 saw the chapter presented the principal guest, Ian Higham, with a charity cheque in support of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Kidney Patients Association.As the funds for the donation were raised in the 2017-2018 season, the former first principal and charity steward of the chapter, Trevor Phillips, arranged to meet with the association chairman, John Sagar to personally present the cheque for £300.
A celebration of 300 years of Freemasonry in Widnes
To celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry, following the formation of the first Grand Lodge in June 1717, the Widnes Group of Lodges and Chapters held a church service in the magnificent St Luke’s Church – a Grade II listed building which dates back to the 12th century
Wigan Freemasons raise £3,000 for Charity
There is no shortage of canals and paths in the Wigan area, all within striking distance of the three Masonic halls in the Borough, but the group decided to make one of its MCF 2021 Festival fundraising events a special day out and opted for a sponsored walk along the Lancaster canal.
