Freemasons donate £50,000 Ambulance for British Red Cross at Tauntonon

The British Red Cross (BRC) at Taunton are the proud owners of a brand new Ambulance thanks to the Province of Somerset and the Freemasons Grand Charity. The ambulance, officially known as a ‘Patient Transport Vehicle’ is specifically designed to accommodate patients who require specialist transport to and from hospital.

Minehead Masonic Hall was the venue for the Exmoor Lodge No 2390 Charity Presentation Evening on Thursday 15th December.Worshipful Master, Garry Holman, was delighted to be able to celebrate his successful year as Master by personally handing the donations from the Lodge to representatives of his chosen local charities.

Freemasons of Birnbeck Lodge raise more than £1,000 for Weston General Hospital

Weston General can now provide all patients with headphones.

Birnbeck Masons Lodge has raised more than £1,000 for Weston General Hospital, in memory of one of the group’s former members.

Long-serving Mike Braden was cared for in Weston General Hospital before he died earlier this year.

Freemasons host tea party for St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice

MEMBERS of Burnham Freemasons hosted a Tea @ 3 fundraising event for the tenth year running in aid of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.

This year’s event raised a magnificent £701.40 for the hospice and in attendance were the Mayor of Burnham, Cllr Michael Clarke, and his wife Maria.
