HFT is a national charity, with an autonomous branch operating at Greenfield Community Centre on Green Lane in Blackburn. HFT is responsible for the operation of events, hire and subletting of the facilities at the centre.
Children’s ward kids get a teddy bear boost from the Freemasons
On 27th January, the Immediate Past Master of the Gild of St. Mary Lodge No.7288, W.Bro. Robert Wane and his wife Tracey were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £800 to Nicki Butler, the Senior Sister of Ward R2, Lewin Stroke and Rehabilitation Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
De Sala Lodge No 5657, meeting at Sale Masonic Hall, has been one of the first Lodges in the Province to take advantage of the new policy of being able to advertise in local newspapers – and have the cost of the advertisement paid by Province for appropriate charitable events.

On Thursday afternoon (19th Jan) Maurice Cruickshank who is “The Right Worshipful Master” of Lodge St Vigean 101, was given a tour of Arbroath United Cricket Club by Geoff Fisher who is The Cricket Clubs President. Geoff explained that the Cricket Club`s practise nets were falling into disrepair, and that they were quoted approx. £30,000 to have them professionally replaced.
On Sunday the 15th of January 2017, The Corby Masonic Players, who are Freemasons or family and friends thereof, put on another show of their latest production, Jack & the Beanstalk, for the local community.

There are two areas of activity hosted by the Ladies’ Gift Fund each year. Firstly, The Christmas Fayre held in November and secondly the Spring Lunch held at The Masonic Hall, Kings Heath.
The increasing number of attendees bears testament to the fact that as a group, Freemasons are becoming increasingly aware of the wisdom of submitting to regular tests for what is the biggest cancer killer of men in the UK.

Borders Youth Brass Band who have been raising funds to enable them to compete
in the European Brass Band Contest in Ostend, Belgium in April 2017
