In order to keep with tradition and make a difference within the local community, Brethren of Lodge Royal Braemar donated funds to 1st Fintray Brownies who have recently established themselves and have already attracted a healthy number of local girls. With excellent support from parents the Group have certainly got off to the best possible start. Monies donated will be put towards pop-up tents for the girls to enjoy indoor and outdoor camping expeditions.
At the recent 2017 Installation meeting of Pentalpha Chapter No.974, senior subscribing Past First Principal, E.Comp Harold Hawkyard, PPrGSN, age 92, was scheduled to give the Address to the Three Principals. Unfortunately E.Comp Hawkyard unexpectedly found himself hospitalised following a mishap at home a few days earlier and was unable to attend the meeting

Isle of Man Post Office is celebrating 300 years of English Freemasonry’s first Grand Lodge with a special set of six stamps that have been created together with London Design Agency, Glazier Design, with the cooperation of the United Grand Lodge of England. The stamps are filled with symbols and references including a hidden logo only visible under UV light, GPS references to places important in Freemasonry including those on the Isle of Man and a subtle ribbon honouring the 50th year of the office of the current Grand Master, HRH the Duke of Kent.
