This is a Whittlesey based charity which has installed 35 public access defibrillators in Whittlesey and has provided awareness training sessions in all schools in the town. It is also running a screening program to detect young people at risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
On 27th January, the Immediate Past Master of the Gild of St. Mary Lodge No.7288, W.Bro. Robert Wane and his wife Tracey were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £800 to Nicki Butler, the Senior Sister of Ward R2, Lewin Stroke and Rehabilitation Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
Festival of Carols raises huge sum for local charities.
Ely Cathedral was full when Cambridgeshire Freemasons, in association with the Dean and Chapter together with sponsors, presented the sixth biennial Festival of Carols on 9 December 2016.
It was a red letter day for Nourse Lodge, No. 8590, which meets at Cambridge, when it saw its second successive double initiation ceremony during the year. The occasion was particularly significant as it also marked the entry of a fourth-generation mason, conducted by three of the family.
