Freemasons in Spain make Food donation

On Tuesday 15th December members of the Caledonia Lodge number 68 made a donation of approximately 1000 euros worth of food to the Social Services department of the Rojales town hall. The money was raised by members of the Lodge and will be distributed to needy families in time for Christmas. The money was presented by Worshipful Brother David Turner, Master of the Lodge, with other Lodge members in attendance to town mayor Sr Antonio Peréz.

In an emotional act celebrated at the Hotel El Higuerón of Mijas (Malaga), framed within in its last Annual Assembly, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalucia delivered a cheque for value of 20,000 euros to the Association DEBRA Spain, collected in the length of 2016 by The lodges through various solidarity initiatives.

Arenal Lodge present cheque for 1600 Euros to El Preventorio children's home

On Wednesday, 29th June, Brethren from Arenal Lodge visited El Preventorio children’s home in Real de Gandia to present another cheque for over 1600 euros to buy much needed equipment for the staff and children. Immediate Past Master WBro William Turney visited, with his successor and new Master WBro Bob Bullingham, and the Lodge Treasurer, WBro Ian Brown. The cheque was presented to the director of the home, Sra MariaJosé Castelló Morant who thanked the Brethren warmly for this cheque and for the other monies raised by the Lodge over the past two years.

Provincial Grand Master of Valencia makes surprise visit to Summer Camp

Blasco Ibanéz summer school in Guadalest

On Friday, 8th July, the Provincial Grand Master of Valencia, RWBro Norman Wheatley, made a surprise visit to the Blasco Ibanéz summer school in Guadalest to visit the children and see for himself how the school was progressing. For the last four years, Freemasons in Spain have sponsored under-privileged children to attend this summer school for both enjoyment and learning in a friendly and safe atmosphere. At present thirty-five children are at the school, of which eighteen are from the El Preventorio children’s home in Gandia.
