Begole was born on January 20th, 1815 in Groveland, New York. Begole’s maternal grandfather was an American Revolution veteran.

Begole moved to Flint, Michigan, along with his siblings in 1836. There he became a school teacher.

Stanley was born on January 15th, 1841 in London. He was educated at Eton College and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He received a commission in the Grenadier Guards and rose to the rank of captain.

An English Freemason, distinguished for his services to the Craft. Robert Thomas Crucefix, M.D., I·.D., was born in Holborn, England, in the year 1797, and received his education at Merchant Tailors’ School. After leaving school, he became the pupil of Doctor Chamberlayne, a general and celebrated practitioner of his day, at Clerkenwell ; he afterward became a student at Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital and was a pupil of the celebrated Abernethy.

Noah Haynes Swayne was a Freemason and American jurist.

Swayne was born on December 7th, 1804 in Frederick County, Virgina. His father passed away when Swayne was only 5. Shortly after his father’s passing, Swayne was enrolled in Jacob Mendendhall’s Academy, a respected Quaker school in Virginia. After graduating he began studying medicine until his teacher passed away in 1819. Despite the family having no money, Swayne turned his attention to the law. He began reading law with two Virgina attorneys and passed the bar in 1823.

Walter Besant was born on August 14th, 1836 in Potsmouth, Hampshire, England. He attended St. Paul’s in Southsea and Stockwell Grammar in London. He went on to King’s College London. In 1855 he was admitted to Christ’s College, Cambridge. He graduated in 1859 from Christ’s Church as a wrangler, an individual who attains first class honors in mathematics in their third year.
