Worshipful Masters wing walk raises money for defibrillator

At the regular meeting of The Lord Roborough Lodge, No. 5789 held on 22nd June, WBro. Clem Spencer of the Heartswell Charity presented a defibrillator to WBro. Tony Banbury, a member of the Lodge and a Reader (Lay Minister) at St. Mary and All Saints Church, Plymstock.

The defibrillator will be placed in the church for use should a cardiac emergency occur. Earlier in June this year Lord Roborough’s Worshipful Master, WBro. John Pritchard, had undertaken a wing walk in aid of Heartswell – raising over £1,100 for the charity.

On hearing of the possible precautionary need of a defibrillator at St Mary’s church he asked that the money he raised be used to provide the machine. WBro. Tony Banbury warmly thanked the charity and WBro. Pritchard stating that the gift will be gratefully received but, hopefully not too often, faithfully applied!
