Welcoming More Than 800 New Brothers to Ohio Freemasonry

What an incredible few months it has been for Freemasonry in Ohio!

From May through July, Most Worshipful Brother Shawn Johnson hosted his Grand Master’s One Day Classes at eight locations across the state. Brothers gathered in Canton, Dayton, Berea, Chillicothe, Tiffin, Gallipolis, Cambridge, and Columbus to welcome men who were ready to take their first steps into our fraternity.

By the end of the summer, more than 800 men had become Master Masons through these One Day Classes.

That is something worth celebrating.

Welcome to the Fraternity

To our newest Brothers, congratulations and welcome to Freemasonry!

You have taken an important first step, but your Masonic journey is just beginning. Your Lodge is now your home, and the Brothers around you are here to help you learn, grow, and find your place within the fraternity.

We encourage each of you to get involved, attend your Lodge meetings and activities, get to know your Brothers, and take advantage of the many opportunities that Freemasonry offers. Some of the friendships you make along the way may last a lifetime.

We are excited to see where your journey takes you.

A True Team Effort

Bringing more than 800 new men into Freemasonry does not happen without a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes.

Our thanks go to the Lodges and Brothers who hosted these events and helped make each class a success. From organizing the events and preparing the facilities to welcoming candidates and assisting throughout the day, many Brothers gave their time and energy to make these experiences special.

This was truly a statewide effort, and it showed what Ohio Freemasons can accomplish when we work together.

The Journey Continues

The One Day Classes may have brought these new Brothers into the fraternity, but what happens next is even more important.

Every one of these new Masons has the opportunity to become an active member of his Lodge, develop new friendships, serve his community, and eventually take on leadership roles within Freemasonry.

Our job as Brothers is to welcome them, encourage them, and help them along the way.

More than 800 men have now opened the door to Freemasonry. We look forward to seeing all that they will bring to our fraternity and to our communities in the years ahead.

Congratulations to all of our newest Brothers, and a heartfelt thank you to every Lodge and Brother who helped make the Grand Master’s One Day Classes such a tremendous success.

Welcome to Ohio Freemasonry, Brothers. We are glad to have you with us!
