Teddies for Loving Care in Action!

The Provincial Grand Secretary recently recieved an email regarding the Teddies for Loving Care and it’s impact on one particular little boy:

“I had the unfortunate event of dashing to Carlisle hospital A&E in the early hours on Sunday morning with my 5 year old son. He was suffering from breathing problems which we found out later was caused by croup. One of his main problems was that he was distressed and panicked and this was making everything else worse. What ended up making a huge difference was the doctor giving him a teddy bear which i believe was donated by yourselves. It gave him something to focus on and comfort him and in no time at all he was back to his usual calm self and his symptoms subsided. We were released a few of hours after. He has never grown attached to anything but this bear (BlueBow) and its his new best friend! We just wanted to say thank you very much. At first sight donating bears to a hospital may seem to some people as a small gesture but i honestly believe it made my son get better a lot quicker than he did meaning the world to us. It really was as good as the medicine the hospital gave him!
Keep up the top work!”

It is wonderful to see that this particular charitable aspect of Freemasonry can provide comfort and reassurance when it is most needed.
