Ludlow Freemasons cook up £1,700 for Charity

The event, now in its 18th year was staged by Ludlow’s Lodge of the Marches at Culmington Village Hall, and this year attracted a bumper amount of diners with about 150 turning out compared to last year’s 110.

Organiser Colin Edwards said it was heartening to see, and said the event had raised £1,700 from food and a raffle to go towards good causes in the future.

Freemasons from Bordon, Alton and Petersfield donate £17,500 to charities

FREEMASONS from the Bordon, Alton and Petersfield masonic centres held a charity-presentation evening in celebration of the 300th year of the United Grand Lodge of England.

The evening was held at the Bordon Masonic Centre, in Woolmer Way, on June 12 and, said organisers, was well attended by local charity and community representatives.

Freemasons make £1,950 Charity Donation to Cynthia Spencer Hospice

Ceres Lodge of the Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire Province have made a wonderful gift of £1,950 to Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Immediate Past Master of Ceres Lodge, Richard Cooke handed the donation to Hospice Fundraising Manager John Helm and Practice Development Lead Amanda Taylor at a White Table meeting at Freemason’s Hall last week, following a talk on the modern Hospice movement and Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

Freemasons donate £200 to Oldham Mountain Rescue

On Tuesday 2nd May, 2017, four members of Unity Chapter 2341, which meets at Westholme, Mossley Masonic Hall, visited Oldham Mountain Rescue Team at their base of Operations, the Cross Keys Inn in Uppermill. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation whose objective is “to save life and alleviate distress, primarily in upland and mountain areas” without cost or obligation.
