Freemasons award £50,000 to fund research into causes of Type 1 Diabetes

Researchers may be one step closer to identifying the cause of type 1 diabetes thanks to a £50,000 grant from the Masonic Charitable Foundation to JDRF, a charity that focuses on curing, treating and preventing type 1 diabetes.

First peek at the South West’s Tercentenary Banner – Provincial Grand Lodge of Devonshire

The Banner will be dedicated by the Provincial Grand Chaplain at the PGL meeting in April 2017. Then as part of the Tercentenary Celebrations it will complete a journey through the 8 Provinces that form the South West Region, Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, Hampshire and the IofW, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devonshire and Cornwall.

Widows Sons visit Devon on marathon to raise funds for ‘Lifelites’ – Provincial Grand Lodge of Devonshire

On 21st June the peace and quiet of Trafalgar Lawn, the home of the Masonic Centre in Barnstaple, was shattered by the arrival of sixteen large powerful motorcycles! Brothers from the ‘Widows Sons South East Chapter’ were on a marathon 24 hour ride visiting 12 Provinces in the South of England from Kent to Cornwall and back to Kent.

WBro. Clem Spencer PPGPurs visited St Peters Lodge No. 1125 in Tiverton to deliver a defibrillator to them and was presented with a cheque for £2,000 for HeartSWell.

Devon Masonic Golf Association Spring Meeting | Provincial Grand Lodge of Devonshire

The Devon Masonic Golf Association Spring Meeting was held on Thursday 26th May 2016 at Honiton Golf Club, Honiton. 32 Brethren in total from North, East, South and West Devon enjoyed a day’s golf with a 2 course meal and prize presentation all in aid of Charity.
