The Freemasons’ purchases of much-needed pyjamas, loungewear, dressing gowns and underwear – nearly 1,000 items in total – will be used to help patients at hospitals throughout the Hywel Dda health board area.

The grant will fund a part-time Parent Advocate role, who will work with parents for at least six months. The Advocate will provide professional, independent representation for parents, working with them to examine choices and connect with service providers. They attend meetings with or instead of their clients, which requires specialist knowledge of the legal and care system and an understanding of the emotional needs of the parents.
Cleddau Lodge was delighted to welcome Barry John of Haverfordwest VC Gallery to their meeting on Wednesday 15th November 2017. Barry gave an entertaining talk about the work of the VC Gallery and his own journey from a difficult upbringing in Neyland to be the founder of a successful charity and the recipient of an MBE from His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
Freemasons from West Wales will be hosting their own teddy bears’ picnic as part of celebrations to mark 300 years of Freemasonry while raising awareness of the excellent work of one of its most important Masonic charitable initiatives, the Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Appeal.
