Up to 50 hungry Harrogate people have enjoyed a two-course Sunday lunch at Wesley Chapel, thanks to one of the town’s five Masonic lodges.
Sir David was introduced to Lifelites through his role as both a high ranking Freemason, and as Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, a livery company for senior practitioners in the information technology industry. Since learning more about the charity’s work, he has decided to lend his name to help the organisation and the children it supports.
St Martin’s Lodge, 2812, from Bletchley, recently held their annual fun day for the Milton Keynes Young Carers, giving them a much needed day off from their busy life and duties. Held at the Herons Lodge Centre in Great Holm over 150 people attended and had an afternoon of live music, barbecue, drinks, animal petting zoo, bingo and bouncy castles.

Entertainment was provided during dinner by Chris Till and his delightful set of swing music playing in the background. After the meal the usual Toasts were observed, the raffle was drawn and everyone was presented with a memento of the evening. The whole emphasis was on fun and enjoyment whilst observing the usual formalities.
On Saturday, 24th June, the gardens of Worshipful Brother Darrell Clayton and his lovely wife Sally, in Gata de Gorgos, were again thrown open to hold another stunning ‘Glyndebourne in Gata’ celebration. This is now an annual event, organised by local Freemasons, which is modelled after the grand Glyndebourne event in England although on a slightly smaller scale. Not withstanding that this classical concert was incredible and everyone there enjoyed it enormously. The idea is generally of a black tie, classical music event to be held in Darrell and Sally’s magnificent gardens.

On Saturday, 11th March, more than fifty intrepid of people set out at 11.30am from the International Club, in El Campello, on their annual, sponsored beach walk. This annual walk was organised by the Santa Faz Masonic Lodge No 48 in support of ASPANION a very worthwhile charity for Children with Cancer.
HFT is a national charity, with an autonomous branch operating at Greenfield Community Centre on Green Lane in Blackburn. HFT is responsible for the operation of events, hire and subletting of the facilities at the centre.
