The recent installation meeting of Royal Preston Chapter No 333 saw the chapter presented the principal guest, Ian Higham, with a charity cheque in support of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Kidney Patients Association.As the funds for the donation were raised in the 2017-2018 season, the former first principal and charity steward of the chapter, Trevor Phillips, arranged to meet with the association chairman, John Sagar to personally present the cheque for £300.

Christmas lunch for Linslade senior citizens
The Mayor of Leighton-Linslade, Cllr. Syed Rahman, recently attended a Christmas Luncheon at Stanbridge Rugby Club. Hosted by St Barnabas Lodge, No. 948, and Taplow Lodge, No. 3111, both of which meet at the Masonic Centre in Linslade, the guests of honour were mainly residents of the local sheltered housing project.

At a recent meeting at Cadogan Court, the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Care Home situated near Exeter, The provincial Grand Master of Devonshire Rt. W. Bro. Ian Kingsbury JP met up with John Austin the Chairman of “Freedomwheels” an Exeter based disability transport service where he presented him with a cheque for £500 from the Devonshire Masonic Benevolent Fund. This will enable their organisation to continue the good work they do for the foreseeable future, this was in addition to an earlier cheque presented to them by the members of Davie Masonic Lodge who are based in Exeter for £200.
