GENEROUS freemasons from lodges across Inverclyde have donated more than £15,000 to local good causes since coronavirus lockdown began.
A Huddersfield community charity which supports men with mental health issues is overwhelmed at financial support from West Riding Masonic Charities.Platform 1, based in the town’s St George’s Square and which has a membership of 500 since its inception to years ago, has received a £10,000 grant as part of our Covid-19 response to assist valuable work in local communities.
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Cornwall has pledged £1,000 to the charity Lifelites, which donates assistive technology for life-limited and disabled children using hospice care services.
London Masons are providing 800 free hot meals a week and have now extended the funding for that for the next 3 months. The meals are provided for those residents in need in Ealing and Acton identified by the Council, local youth center, women’s refuge and the Ealing Mutual Aid Group.
Generous freemasons have handed over the keys to a brand new van that will be used to deliver food to residents in need.
Freemasons have donated 50 litres of hand sanitiser to Essex Search and Rescue, a team of 63 volunteers who help to find missing and vulnerable people.
