Freemasons have raised more than $4300 for a worthwhile cause. The Wimmera Combined Freemason Lodges and young Freemasons group West Wimmera Region Blue Lounge Social Club presented Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre with a cheque for $2307 from the recent garage sale held at Horsham Masonic Centre.
Ribble Valley Talking Newspaper provide an audio version of local newspapers in the Clitheroe area, including the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times. The Talking Newspaper is for blind and partially sighted local residents and it comes out as a CD every Friday.
W Bro Steve Ashworth dropped in on the North West Blood Bikes. The N.W.B.B. assist the hospitals in the North West and Lakes delivering vital blood, donations, hospital records and anything else required during the hours of 1900 and 0200 during the week and 24hrs on Saturday and Sunday.
Their work is vital to the running of these hospitals during the ‘out of hours’ periods.
The Worshipful Master, of Royal Marines Plymouth Lodge N0. 9528, presented a cheque to the staff of Plym Ward, Mount Gould Hospital, on behalf of the Brethren of Royal Marines Plymouth Lodge and The Lodge of Integrity.

Recently members of the Surrey Masonic Charity Team led by Nick Parsons were delighted to visit Home-Start Sutton to present a certificate reflecting the £5,000 Grant received from the Masonic Charitable Foundation to enable the continued provision of volunteer home support and family support groups to vulnerable families with a child under 5 years old.
On Friday 16th June a presentation was made, by the Masonic Homes of Valencia Association, to the main hospital in Denia.
The presentation was for a cheque to pay for a second CT scanner which has been sorely needed by the hospital for some time. Currently when the older machine is in use or in need of repair, or even being serviced, patients often need to travel long distances for diagnosis before treatment can begin. This is obviously not good and creates further stress and hardship at a time when such problems are least needed.
From this Autumn South Cheshire Lodge No 5571 based at Willaston, Crewe, will become the Provincial Scouting Themed Lodge and Brethren who have been involved in any area of Scouting, including any Scout leaders who are considering joining Freemasonry are interested, please contact Michael Shiels by email
Every spring and autumn, Freemasons from around Devon meet to give support totalling in excess of £45,000 to local charities and organisations throughout the county who are in need of assistance.
The money is raised by the WAKE Fund – a trust conceived by the Right Worshipful Brother William Alexander Kneel, Masonic Provincial Grand Master from 1970 to 1984.
This fund now stands at £1.9m and the interest
