Freemasons fund places for children to attend Summer Camp

Over the past five years Freemasons from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Valencia have been supporting a children’s summer camp and funding places for children to attend. This offers disadvantaged and underprivileged children the opportunity to undertake tasks, sports and cultural activities that they would otherwise be unable to afford. The cost of each child is paid for, in full, by the Masons so there is no cost to parents, the home, school or carers.

Andy Palmer was installed as Master of United Service Lodge No. 3124 for the second time in October 2016. He wanted to do something to assist the lodge’s charitable work during his year in office. In a moment of madness he decided to sign up for the London to Brighton Cycle ride. To say he is a keen cyclist is stretching the point – a ‘Sunday’ cyclist is nearer the mark.

Cornwall Freemasons donate to Memory Café

EACH year the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Cornwall asks each of it’s 32-member lodges to submit grant applications for nominated local worthy causes.

The members of Sir Bevil Granville Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1231, which meets in Bude, nominated Bude Memory Café and were delighted that a grant of £250 was awarded.

Cumberland & Westmorland Freemasons coordinate marshals for Colour Run 2017

On Sunday 2nd July, the West Cumbria Hospice at Home Colour Run took place at Muncaster Castle. Over 800 people entered the event which consisted of a 1 km and a 5 km circuit. The 5k or 1k courses were open to all ages, genders and abilities and encouraged people to have fun, get messy and raise money for a great cause. The organisers of the event were hoping to raise over £30k on the day to contribute to the running of the Hospice at Home Charity
