St Edburg’s Lodge No. 9233 Initiation Meeting

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master W.Bro. Alan Knowles escorted by the Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro. Paul Buck and accompanied by the Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. Sunny Timms attended an initiation meeting of the St Edburg’s Lodge No. 9233, enjoying a most excellent ceremony seeing Bro. John Mathias initiated into the lodge.
This was the second meeting in a row where the St Edburg’s Lodge No. 9233 had an initiation, the previous meeting Bro. Michael Carder had been initiated into the lodge.The evening was further marked by the arrival of the Oxfordshire Provincial Travelling Gavel being delivered into the safe keeping of the St Edburg’s Lodge No. 9233 by the Worshipful Master of the St Mary’s Lodge No. 1763, W.Bro. David Kew WM accompanied by his two Wardens W.Bro. Nick Carter SW, Bro. Peter Stevens JW and a further 7 members of the St Mary’s Lodge W.Bro. Ken Calcutt DC, W.Bro. Malcom Way Treasurer, W.Bro. David Hunt Almoner & Asst Secretary, W.Bro. Anthony Hill
Secretary and Mentor, W.Bro. Ken Poyser ADC, Bro. Byron Harvey SD and W.Bro. Frank Downer,The Worshipful Master of the St Edburgs’s Lodge welcomed the visitors from St Mary’s Lodge, received the Gavel, promised to keep it safe until passed on.
A most excellent evening was had by all.
