St Andrew Masonic Lodge (Uffculme) donates £750 to Supported Learning enterprise

SPECIALISED IT equipment has been purchased for students at Petroc’s Exe Valley restaurant thanks to a donation from St Andrew Lodge.

Sue Trevelyan, Lecturer at Petroc Mid Devon said: “Last year we were very happy to receive a wonderful donation from our friends at St Andrew Lodge.

“This year we are humbled to receive such a generous donation which we will use to acquire specialized I.T. equipment to support and further enable our hard-working students with special needs”

St Andrew Lodge is one of 137 Masonic Lodges in the Province of Devonshire, it was formed in 1920 and met in Cullompton until 2014 when it relocated to the Masonic Hall in Uffculme, they currently have just under 50 members.

As an organization, charitable giving is very important to the members and The St Andrew Lodge does like to support locally as much as possible.

Other groups that have been supported by the Lodge this year include the Cullompton Scouts and Guides and the Army Cadet Corps.

Jon Edwards, Secretary of the St Andrew Lodge in Uffculme said: “Personally, I am very keen to continue to support the students of the Petroc Assisted Learning Department, partly because of the inspirational enthusiasm shown by Sue Trevelyan, whose late father-in-law was a well-respected Past Master of our Lodge.”
