In addition to the 125 DAISY Players presented as part of Freemasons New Zealand 125th Anniversary (coincidentally the Blind Foundation’s 125th as well). John Litton Grand Master gave them, on behalf of Lodges throughout New Zealand who had contributed to the Project, an additional $50,000·

It was indeed a great pleasure to witness the work being done by a small team of dedicated teachers at ASADIS in Los Gallardos this morning. They look after and develop children with ‘special needs’ such as autism. The Mojacar Freemasons came together and presented 1,000 euros to this very worth while charity which will be used to purchase materials and equipment to further their work next term.
The subject of this paper is the possible connection between the arrival of the exiled Jacobites in France after 1688 and the appearance of the first masonic lodges at about the same time. It seems certain that the Scottish and Irish soldiers who formed part of this exile did frequent the first lodges and it is a possibility, still the subject of controversy’, that a lodge had existed at St Germain en La:i,e from the time of the first exile of the Stewarts in ]649. This was where they again took up residence in 1689.

Our Solent Area FITC team were in action over the weekend when they attended the H.M.S. Sultan Summer Show in Gosport. This is one of the Royal Navy’s main shows of the year and FITC were delighted to be allowed to attend. With so many ex-service personnel in our lodges it’s always good to be able to continue to support our armed forces.
