Victorian Cricket Day on The Butts

Saturday 25th June was the day of the Victorian Cricket Day on The Butts, Alton and Freemasonry in the Community was in full swing with the Lite unit on show as well as a team of local Freemasons, dressed in Victorian garb (suitably emblazed with the Square & Compasses), entering the fray.

Johann Valentin Andreae aged 42

Andreae was born on August 17th, 1586 in Herrenberg, Württemberg, Germany. At the age of 15, his father passed away and his mother moved with him to Tübingen. There his mother became the court apothecary. From 1604 to 1606 Andreae studied theology and natural sciences. It is claimed by Andrea, that during this time he wrote “The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosekreutz.

Born to Ride 2016 visit 12 Provinces

On Saturday 25 June, several of our great fundraisers completed the Born to Ride motorbike ride visiting 12 Masonic centres in 12 Provinces across the south of England.
