Provincial Grand Lodge of Norfolk
At the PGM’s Sunday Lunch at Kings Lynn Masonic Centre, The Provincial Grand Master made presentations to several local charities – headlining with the total raised by the Fun Day and other generous lodge donations to the East Anglian Children’s Hospices The nook Appeal. The charity was overwhelmed to receive £20,000 plus a late top up of £500 from Norfolk Farmers Lodge, to help them build their new facility to further support families caring for children and young people with life threatening conditions.
Other local charities receiving donations from lodges in the Kings Lynn area were:
True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum which celebrates Kings Lynn’s fishing community of the North End which made a significant contribution to Lynn’s economic and social life for 900 years.
Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Group which includes everyone in the community of all abilities in all aspects of musical theatre.
Scotty’s Little Soldiers which is dedicated to supporting children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK) to continue their good work looking after and training the 4,700 guide dogs.
Hunstanton RNLI to assist them saving lives.
