Mrs Mandy Delaine-Smith, Chairperson of Bourne Outdoor Swimming Pool, receiving a £1000.00 cheque from W Bro Chris Taylor, the Worshipful Master of The Hereward Lodge on behalf of the New Provincial Benevolent Fund.
All the work to keep the pool running has been undertaken on a voluntary basis by the management and a dedicated group of volunteers since 1990 and it is a constant struggle to find the £40,000.00 operating costs each year. Mrs Delaine-Smith was “over the moon” to receive such a generous donation and stated that the cheque now meant that the pool could be repainted in readiness for next year.
