Sir Joseph Banks Daylight Lodge Ladies FestivalAt the SJBDL ‘Sunday Ladies Festival’ held at The English Golf Union, a game of
‘heads or tails’ was organised by Worshipful Brother Bryn Strong which raised
the sum of £80; the winner being asked to nominate a charity of his or her
choice for where the money was to go to.
Charity goes to Shrewsbury
Led by the WM Chris Betts, 14 members of Lodge of Charity No 2651, travelled on route 49 (A49) from Warrington to Shrewsbury and were accompanied by some of their wives, to attend the 28th annual meeting of lodges with Lodge of Charity in their name. A convoy of four cars set off early in the morning to arrive in Shrewsbury well before lunch.
Rainier Masonic Lodge of Freemasons donate Kindle devices to Hudson Park students
At a school-wide assembly held on June 8, twenty-one Hudson Park Elementary students received Kindles donated by the Rainier Masonic Lodge. This is the second year students at Hudson Park have participated in the Kindles for Books Program
Sidmouth Freemasons present more than £2,000 in charity donations
SIDMOUTH’S Freemasons Lodge of Perseverance have made three charitable donations to local organisations, totalling in excess of £2,000.
At a special meeting on Tuesday, June 7th the lodge donated £1,000 to the Sidmouth Town Band to hep their appeal to acquire a new headquarters building, as they have outgrown their current one
Wyggeston Lodge to appear in Sky 1 documentary ‘Inside The Freemasons’
Over the past few months, the Leicester based Wyggeston Lodge and its’ members have been filmed as part of the forthcoming new four-part documentary ‘Inside The Freemasons’ to be shown on Sky 1 this winter.
The exclusive documentary will feature the most in-depth look ever at the Freemasons in the run up to our 300th anniversary in 2017
FROTH holds cabaret dinner and dance
On a hot summers evening brethren from the newly amalgamated Ormskirk and Bootle Group, accompanied with their wives and many guests attended the FROTH Gala Cabaret Dinner and Dance, which Bootle Group has been running annually for the last 20 years. This year the event was held at the magnificent surroundings of the West Lancashire Golf Club.

Among the many treasures in the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library’s collection is this Society of the Cincinnati certificate, issued to Samuel Newman. It is dated May 5, 1784 and is signed by both George Washington (1732-1799) in his capacity as President of the Society of the Cincinnati and by Henry Knox (1750-1806) in his capacity as Secretary.
