On Saturday 3rd September, the Worshipful Master of Brigantes Lodge, Bro. Ralph Hutchings, led his team of officers in the ceremony of initiation. The candidate was the 26 years old Martin James Hepworth.
On Saturday 13th August at the main theatre of Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale, the first Tripartite Meeting of the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine took place, which included the divisions of Cumbria, North and East Lancashire and West Lancashire.
Excellent Companion Barry Bower, Provincial Chapter Grand Director of Ceremonies held his first Chapter DC forum on Saturday 23rd July, at Cleator Moor Masonic Centre.
Following a 50 Year Certificate presentation to E.Comp. Bryant Lightfoot of Chapter of St John, No. 327 in Wigton, a collection was made which raised £217 in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
On Saturday 11th June 2016, Mrs Kathrine Storey presented a cheque to the Chairman of the Association of the Friends of Scarbrough Court, W.Bro Ken Wake for the superb amount of £1040.
At the recent RMBI 2016 Festival Dinner, held at The Shepherd’s Inn in Carlisle, Jasmine Elcock, who came fourth in the recent Britain’s Got Talent competition, performed as part of the evening’s event.
On Monday 6th June 2016 several Lewis Lodge members, namely W Bros Vic McQuire, John Stalker, John Cleghorn Snr, Syd Bushby and Bros David O’Connell and Scott Ferguson made a visit to Sun Square & Compasses Lodge 119 at Cleator Moor Civic Hall and Masonic Centre for a very special reason.
