Freemasons ladies evening raises a magnificent £4,000 for charity

At the ladies evening of Lodge of Harmony No 220 of the Garston Group, the magnificent sum of £4,000 was raised in aid of charity. One of the beneficiaries of this sum went to supporting the work of the Walton Centre Liverpool, the only NHS trust within the country dedicated to neurological science. The hospital provides specialist neurology and neurosurgical care, for not just the North-West but also the Isle of Man, Wales and indeed referrals from across the whole of the UK, treating over 100,000 patients a year.

Andy Palmer was installed as Master of United Service Lodge No. 3124 for the second time in October 2016. He wanted to do something to assist the lodge’s charitable work during his year in office. In a moment of madness he decided to sign up for the London to Brighton Cycle ride. To say he is a keen cyclist is stretching the point – a ‘Sunday’ cyclist is nearer the mark.

On Sunday 9th July, Llantwit Major Lodge No. 9241 held a Summer Garden Party in aid of Velindre Cancer Center. The event took place at W.Bro Michael Thomas’s house and gardens in Rhoose and was well supported by family and friends of the lodge. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine with good food, drink and live musical entertainment that went on into the evening

Freemasons from Bordon, Alton and Petersfield donate £17,500 to charities

FREEMASONS from the Bordon, Alton and Petersfield masonic centres held a charity-presentation evening in celebration of the 300th year of the United Grand Lodge of England.

The evening was held at the Bordon Masonic Centre, in Woolmer Way, on June 12 and, said organisers, was well attended by local charity and community representatives.
