The Buckinghamshire Masonic Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA), had a team of nine shooters attending the 12th National Masonic Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships held recently at Wedgnock Clay Shooting Ground, and hosted by The Province of Warwickshire.

The day was overcast with a look of rain but managed to stay dry for the shoot. The Bucks Shooters enjoyed the day, but like most entries found the targets very difficult in the conditions.

The only successful shooter for Bucks was Phil Goddard of Windsor End Lodge No.9361, who came second in the veterans’ competition, very well done, Phil.

The competition consisted of 170 shooters form all over the country (not all were Masons), so we in Bucks did not have as far to travel as some and in fact seven of the nine team members live in the North Bucks area,

The next shoot will be at the Oxford Gun Competition on 16th July 2016. For more information please contact Roger Gills: [email protected] or on 07711088462

Also, the Province of Buckinghamshire is hosting the Tercentenary Celebration Clay Pigeon Charity Shoot at E.J. Churchill’s Shooting Ground, High Wycombe, on Tuesday 13th September 2016.

For more info on this shoot please contact the provincial representative for Bucks: Dave Hollis at: [email protected] or on 07801149237
