Broken Column Dinner 2017

On Monday 11th September 2017, Manchester Masons hosted their Annual Broken Column Dinner in the newly refurbished Goulburn Suite at Manchester Hall.

The evening’s entertainment was courtesy of The Charleston Charlies, who specialise in playing popular hits from the roaring 20’s and 30’s. That wasn’t all though, as they took the audience on a journey through a wide range of musical genres. With songs from Vera Lynn and Fred Astaire to Elvis Presley, it was a truly eclectic ensemble. Their seemingly endless energy was underlined by the several costume changes they made to match the changes in their musical styles. The band is very popular around Manchester, and regularly play in the trendy Northern Quarter of the city.

WBro Chris Welton, APGM for Manchester, gave an exceptionally well received toast to the ladies. Many of whom commented afterwards that the evening had brought back many very happy memories for them.

At the end of this fantastic evening, the Manchester District Officers escorted the ladies to their carriages and looked forward to hosting them all once again next year.
