The Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool proved an excellent occasion for a real celebration for the Chorley Group. The sun shone and all was well with the world, especially for those who were honoured during the meeting in which the Chorley Group was well represented with the following receiving acting or first appointments and those being promoted.

The day was full of the fine Masonic pageantry normally associated with a Provincial Grand Lodge. The festive banquet at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool was a joy. Good food, good wine and exceedingly good company, all in a mood to celebrate the preferment of friends.
