An early Victorian silver snuff box, the rounded rectangular form with reeded sides, engine-turned decoration and foliate scroll thumb-piece, with Masonic presentation inscription to the hinged lid. Hallmarked William Simpson, Birmingham 1842. Measuring 5.4 cm by 3.5 cm, weight 37.4 grams. ‘A small token of sincere regard from Bro. J. Somers to Bro. H. Muggeridge Dec. 10. 1852’
