Whilst visiting Clive Lodge 1575 Installation on April 11th, W. Bro Winston Cree who was sitting on my immediate left won the bottle of MFEST whisky. The next installation I attended was Lodge of Venture 6916 Staffordshire on April 23rd. I was shocked that the person on my immediate left also won the MFEST whisky. I was feeling unlucky!
Next I attended Idsall Installation and I mentioned my recent bad luck to Bro. Peter McConville (pictured) of Fitzalan Lodge, No. 1432 and suggested as he was on my immediate left that he might buy more tickets! Just before the draw I asked Peter if he wanted to swap his tickets and he declined. The draw was then taken and large gasps were given as W. Bro Bill Gould drew out ticket 250 which was Peter’s ticket, with some Brethren comparing me with the magician Dynamo!!
I must be a lucky mascot so the big question is, Who wants to sit on my left at Old Ben’s installation?
