Sponsor a Disadvantaged Child for a 2016 Christmas Pantomime

2016 Christmas Pantomime Season

It’s That Time Again- Oh No It Isn’t – Oh Yes It Is!

Last Christmas the Provincial Charity Steward, Wayne Smith, asked you to consider supporting your local communities by sponsoring a child from a disadvantaged background to attend a Pantomime during the Christmas holidays. An initial two hundred and fifty places were reserved and thanks to your magnificent response, six hundred and ninety disadvantaged Children, Parents and Carers had a special Christmas treat! Click here to read more about last year’s sponsored pantomime places.

Your charity inspired others, with many theatres giving special discounts or providing goody bags, bringing enjoyment to so many children across the Province at Christmas.  You even made the Kent Messenger- twice. But what really struck home were the numerous letters and emails of thanks from Hospices, Refuges, Disabled groups, Families with disabled children and those with life limiting illnesses, all had wonderful time thanks to your kindness.

With your help Wayne would like to run the initiative again this Christmas.  Places will be booked at venues across East Kent including this year’s Provincial Pantomime “Treasure Island“, so that disadvantaged children can attend a local pantomime and enjoy the holiday fun.

There is sufficient room for every Lodge and Chapter to sponsor at least one child to attend and Brethren and Companions may of course also like to support a child as an initiative of their own.  As previously, a number of organisations, homes and centres have been contacted and once again we will be inviting children within the Province who are assisted by our Masonic Charities – so we have many children eager to attend.

Sponsorship is £25 for a child and their carer to attend, with ice-cream and a goody bag included, to make the day a special and memorable treat. A sponsorship form can be downloaded using the button below.

Your early response would be appreciated to allow time to make arrangements.
