At our April Coffee Morning, on behalf of Rushden Lams I presented our cheque for £1200.00 to Jo and Emma of EquATA, our charity for 2015. Based in Grafton Underwood, the natural environment and specially trained horses are used to help a wide range of people on the Autism spectrum, and those who have ADHD, have access to therapy for emotional and mental health issues and increase personal development. At our Chairman’s Coffee Morning in May we celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday and used the occasion to mark the many significant birthdays being celebrated this year by a number of Rushden Lams. Here Sheila Hartley (70), Evelyn Willmott (90) and Penny Sargent (75) are seen cutting the cake. On Friday 20th May Rushden Lams and guests enjoyed a magical evening of music with Northampton Male Voice Choir who performed in the Lodge Room. This was followed by a delicious supper in Dining Room. Proceeds are to go towards our charities for 2016, Alzheimers Society and Parkinson’s UK.
