Royds Lodge – 50th Certificate for W. Bro. Brian Berrow

W. Bro. Brian Berrow of Royds Lodge, No. 1204, was presented with the PGM’s Certificate for 50 Years’ Service to Freemasonry by, W. Bro. Colin Young, on 21 April 2016

At Brian’s special request a non-masonic dinner was held to mark this occasion and Brian’s wife, Sue, his children and their spouses were able to be present.

The Lodge celebrated Brian’s 50th anniversary as a Freemason both in the Lodge Meeting and after the Lodge was closed when the Brethren, together with their Ladies and Visitors gathered in the Lodge Room to witness the presentation of Brian’s Certificate.

W. Bro. Colin Young, representing the Provincial Grand Master, welcomed the Ladies and Visitors, especially members of Brian’s family.

W. Bro. John Guise spoke about Brian remembering their school days; Brian’s national service; rugby prowess; and, his family life. He then spoke of Brian’s long service to Freemasonry, in particular to Royds Lodge.

W. Bro. Colin presented the Provincial Grand Master’s Certificate for 50 Years’ Service to Freemasonry to Brian congratulating him on his achievement.

Brian thanked the W. Bro. John and W. Bro. Colin and all the Brethren.

W. Bro. Dave Barnett, the Worshipful Master added his own hearty congratulations and thanked         W. Bro. Colin for coming to Malvern to make this presentation.
