Queen’s birthday celebrations at Westhoughton

The Brookfield Ladies Committee has done it again. The Sunday lunch to celebrate the Queen’s birthday was a great success.

The dining room at Brookfield Hall, the home of Westhoughton Freemasons, was suitably decked out for this special occasion. A very relaxing afternoon began with an excellent lunch and finished off with a selection of patriotic songs and much flag waving. Wilf Farnworth did an excellent job on the piano.

Ann Wilson, Chair of the Brookfield Ladies Committee, said it was very nice to see such a large turnout. Ann announced that the raffle had raised £320 and that it, plus any surplus from the lunch, would go to Masonic and non-Masonic charities, one of which would be Macmillan Nurses.

Brookfield Ladies are a group of wives of the Masons meeting at Westhoughton Masonic Hall in Bolton who work very hard with fund raising events to improve the facilities at Westhoughton Masonic Hall, which is also known as Brookfield Hall. Under the name of Brookfield Hall it provides first class facilities for every type of catering event, including getting married at Brookfield Hall.
