A Norfolk dermatology unit has received a helping hand from Norwich Freemasons

The unit at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital received the £600 donation from the Naval and Military Lodge of Freemasons.

The money was raised through social events throughout the year, including carol services and race nights.

The unit was chosen for the donation after a number of members at the lodge were treated at the hospital.

Lodge Senior Warden Chris Spinks said: “Several members of the lodge have been treated by the dermatology unit and we wanted to say thank you by raising money for them. The nurses are wonderful and the care they give is exceptional.”

The Masonic Charitable Foundation aims to build better lives by enabling opportunity, advancing healthcare, education and promoting independence for Freemasons, their families and the wider community.
