Ivan claims the ‘crowd jewel’ for Anchorsholme

The initiative known as the ‘crowd jewel’ was set up on the Fylde Coast by the North Fylde, South Fylde and Blackpool Groups a few years ago in order to encourage more visitors at lodge meetings.

The prize is highly sought after and it was to this end that Ivan Hicks, the master of Anchorsholme Lodge No 5854, recently laid siege to Wyre Lodge No 7704 at Fleetwood Masonic Hall and ended up victorious.

It was a very fraternal evening with over 60 brethren dining, including a visitor from the USA. More than £450 was raised for charities at the event.

Any lodge wishing to challenge Ivan and his team for this prestigious award should make a date in their diaries for the next meeting of Anchorsholme Lodge on 6 May at Cleveleys Masonic Hall, where a warm welcome is guaranteed.
