Freemasons Samaritan Old English Night raises £3,500.00

Samaritan Lodge No 368 held an Old English Night on Wednesday 8th November, a whopping £3,500 was raised through a well-supported auction and raffle, which alone raised £500 for a Christmas Turkey. Items were donated by the brethren of the Lodge and Guests and included Oven Ready Ducks and Pheasants fresh from a shoot, freshly made game bangers, bottles of various wines and spirits etc.

We were treated to a Steak and Kidney Pie supper with plenty of good cheer.

The Lodge would like to express thanks to the auctioneer for the evening WB Frank Speed who coaxed the money out of the brethren – although they didn’t take too much persuasion – Masonic generosity at its best.

Many local Charities in and around Sandbach will benefit from this evenings’ fund raiser including talking newspapers and several hospital charities!
