Freemasons Help to Equip the New Neuromuscular Centre at Winsford

The Neuromuscular Centre at Winsford is the only specialised physio centre in the UK, patients travel from all over the county to attend this special unit.  The centre is currently being enlarged as part of a £550K extension programme.  WBro George Mann APGM and WBro Dave Bettley Area Five Charity Officer attended on 23 November to present a £1000 cheque from the Community Fund to the Chief Executive Officer Matthew Lamhan.  The money will go toward purchase of a Hoist Unit to lift patients from wheel chairs to special treatment tables in their new Physio Centre.

The centre has a permanent staff of 24 supplemented by a similar number of temporary specialised therapists. Every year it help over 1700 patients adapt to enjoy their life.

The Centre also has a printing business where they train school leavers who wish to make printing their career.

Opened in 1990 the Neuromuscular Centre at Winsford open five day per week.


WBro George Mann inspects the building works with Head of Fundraising Lyndsey Cannon-Potts.  The extension will be in operation within the next 4 weeks.
