Blood Bikes Wales will receive a £250 donation during the open day

BALA Freemasons will open the doors of their lodge for a special open day on 22 July.

The open day will give members of the public to chance to discover what the Masons do, with a donation of £250 also being made to Blood Bikes North Wales.

Mark Bennett, of the Bala Freemasons, said the open day was aimed at letting people ask questions and learn more about the Masons.

He said: “I’ll give a short talk about masonry and people can ask questions during the day.

“It would be nice for people to come and have a look and ask questions they have and forget about the things they hear.

“Masonry on the whole has been a lot more open recently and there’s information on the internet. We’re trying to raise the profile in Bala and it is a chance for people to come and have a look for themselves.”

During the open day, the Bala Lodge will donate £250 to Blood Bikes North Wales, the charity that provides transport for vital medical supplies, especially blood stocks.

The open day will be held at the Bala Lodge in Mount Street starting at 10.30am and running until around 3.30pm. The donation to Blood Bikes North Wales will take place at midday during the event.
