The Montgomerie Lodge of Freemasons in Diss have donated £200 and the Watton Lodge have donated £780.80, both for the nook appeal.

On Sunday 11th June, Worshipful Master Neil Morley presented a cheque for £200 to Jenny Bailey, EACH volunteer at the Diss Carnival and fun day. The money was raised by a raffle to win a hedge trimmer, as well as donations from Lodge members.

Worshipful Master Neil Morley said: “As a Lodge we support a wide range of local charities which help the community in different ways. Taking part in the Diss Carnival and family fun day, we wanted this donation to help bring a smile to children and their families by making a donation to the EACH nook appeal.”

A further generous donation of £780.80 was presented to EACH Fundraiser, Tal Williams on Saturday 17th June by Alan Eastwood, on behalf of the Watton lodge. The money was raised throughout the year from various social events and lodge functions.

Alan Eastwood, from Watton Lodge said: “Norfolk Freemasons are well aware of the need for EACH to have a new hospice to meet the increasing demand for children’s palliative care services, and Watton Lodge are pleased to help the nook appeal.”
