Connaught Court Summer Fete

Brethren will be aware that Connaught Court, St Oswald’s Rd, York YO10 4FA (Fulford), is a Masonic Residential Home run by the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (soon to be within the Masonic Charitable Foundation). Historically the Province of Lincolnshire has had very close relationships with Connaught Court and there are representatives from Lincolnshire on the Committees of it, in conjunction with representatives from Yorkshire West Riding and Yorkshire North and East Provinces.

Annually there is a Summer Fete to raise funds for the Association of Friends of Connaught Court and this is usually opened by one of the Provincial Grand Masters of the 3 Provinces in turn. This year it is the turn of Rt W Bro Graham Ives to perform this important role and it would be extremely valuable if he could be supported by some of the Brethren and the ladies from Lincolnshire. Due to the manner in which diary dates are established it is recognised that, on the weekend of the Party, there is also the Market Rasen Fun Day but there will probably be several members who will not be attending the Fun Day, or who can fit both events into their diaries.

The details are:

Saturday 18 June 2016.

Rt W Bro Graham Ives is due to formally open the Summer Fete at 1.30pm.

Anyone who is able to attend will find the event most encouraging and will be able to see how well the residents are cared for.  It will also provide the opportunity to meet Masons from other Provinces and to support our Provincial Grand Master.

Please do all you can to attend and support this event. Your presence, no matter how short or long, will be appreciated.
