Clifton Road Masonic Hall Open Day proves a Success

On Sunday 9th of September, Clifton Road Masonic hall hosted an ‘Open Day’ Event in support of the Wirral History and Heritage Society, which included displays from Woodlands Primary School, the  Birkenhead Ansar  Beaver Scouts Troop, The Clifton Operatic Society, and a display of the work of Local Photographer Nadia Parsons. There was also as a Masonic Display by the Area 2 Team, lead by APGM Gary Horstman and Chairman John Miller, with refreshments being provided by the Hall.

The Event attracted a steady flow of over 160 visitors, who enjoyed a tour of the building, and the displays put on by the groups present.  The current Mayor of Wirral also spent over an hour looking around and displays

The Team which included Malcolm Orr, Dominic Robinson, Joe Richardson, and Phil Hunt, were kept busy all day and successfully engaged with the visitors who were keen to visit a lodge room and find out more. At least five possible candidates asked for an Application Form, and at least two more ladies were interested in joining a suitable ladies lodge.

The ‘Open Day’ was the final public-facing event of the year that involved the Area 2 Team, after what has been an enjoyable and successful series of events highlighting ‘Freemasonry into the Community’.
