Freemasons Support Julia’s House Hospice

On Wednesday 22nd June at the Boscombe Freemasons Hall, Julia’s House, along with other charities and causes were awarded with money raised by various Freemasons lodges.

Julia’s House were chosen by three lodges to receive a donation.

Knole lodged donated £525

The Boscombe Chapter donated £840

Charminster Class of Instruction donated £200

Julia’s House is the only children’s hospice charity in Dorset dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across Dorset and Wiltshire.

They offer regular respite sessions at their hospice in Corfe Mullen, Dorset, and in families’ own homes in Dorset and Wiltshire. They also run events for siblings and mums and dads – and support the whole family.

Their respite care means so much to parents who are looking after a very sick child 24 hours a day. It gives them time out with their partners, their other children or simply a chance to catch up with some day-to-day tasks, safe in the knowledge their child is being looked after by people they know and trust.

Their nurses and carers provide life-changing support for parents and their children both in the hospice and in their own homes.
