WILTSHIRE Freemasons welcomed John Davies, chief executive of Dorothy House Hospice Care, to a charity presentation evening.

A cheque for £5,681 was handed to John at the Masonic Hall, Chippenham.

Dorothy House provides compassionate care and support for people in the community with a life-limiting illness, caring for patients and their families in Bath and north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset at home, in the hospice, or at one of an outreach centres.

Philip Bullock, the head of Wiltshire Freemasonry, said: “We are always thrilled to be able to support Dorothy House in their work to make the last days of the terminally ill a quality time for the patient and their family.

“John and his team at Dorothy House are amongst the most caring of people we know and well deserve the support we give.”
